In the 21st of August of 2016, I had the pleasure to have some coffee and chat with Mr. Waqar Rizvi and his wife Ms. Kaneez Fatima. Waqar and his wife are news anchors at Press TV which is Iran's television network based in Tehran and broadcasting in English. They're Canadian-Pakistanis, thus are foreigners in Iran. They've lived here around 10 years now and managed to study, work and live a successful life together. In my opinion, if you want to work, study or live in Iran as well, you may consider taking some advice from them.
This episode is more of a friendly chat with a humble and courteous couple. I'm not quite sure about the following point but I'm assuming that this couple are more popular worldwide than in Iran and which is because of the nature of having an English broadcasting job in a Persian speaking country. That would be like you’re a news anchor in one country for almost a decade, and by the time you go out for groceries, no one knows you much. You just look familiar or something. However, that is maybe my assumption only. Anyway, in this conversation we’ve kicked a little bit of various topics such as social, work and living experiences in Iran.
Please notice that there is a slight background noise during this episode. Since the place wasn’t quite suitable for voice recording in that specific day as it was for having drinks. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy this episode.
